Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Professional Detailing?

Far from just a car wash; what makes us professional is that we strive to learn the science that is involved in cleaning and protecting a vehicle. How different chemicals react to different surfaces, the ph levels of those chemicals, the way heat damages surfaces, how vehicles are painted at the manufacturer, how to read paint depth , how the pollutants in the environment harm your vehicle, how to safely clean distinctive components i.e. leather, plastic, vinyl, rubber, suede, metal, how to use the proper tools for the best finish, how to target different stains according to what caused it, etc.  As you may realize there are hundreds of individual factors and many variables that make up professional auto detailing.

What Drives Us?

For us detailing is an art, your vehicle is the canvas, we are artisans and your satisfaction is our passion. We truly pride ourselves with our work, and our attention to detail is the evidence of it. The reason why we are in this industry although we could be doing something that is more profitable, is because of the rewarding feeling we get out of the joy, thankfulness, and satisfaction our clients receive when they see the aftermath of their vehicle. We deliver more than just a service, we deliver an experience which boosts your confidence, and relieves stress & anxiety caused by a dirty and cluttered vehicle.

How Often Should I Get a Professional Detail?

A healthy number is 3-6 months, although there are many variables to consider to give an exact number. For example is the vehicle garaged or kept outside, is it a daily driver or a weekend car, how far does it commute regularly etc. The bare minimum anybody should get a professional detail is once every year, if you do any less than that, you may start getting irreversible damage to some of the surfaces.

What Is a Ceramic Coating?

A ceramic coating is a layer of protection that we are adding on top of your vehicle’s paint to act as a sacrificial layer of protection, which also gives your vehicle an extreme gloss. It’s like adding a layer of glass that bonds to the clear coat and is significantly more resistant and durable than any wax, or sealant. Coatings can last anywhere from 2-5 years or even more in same cases depending on the maintenance. Coatings provide many benefits but overall its to prevent oxidation and environmental pollutants from directly hitting your paint.

What Is Paint Correction?

In the detailing world, paint correction refers to the act of using machine polishing or wet sanding techniques to remove small, to medium scratches that have NOT gone through the clear coat and into the metal, these type of scratches are generally referred to as swirl marks, micro-scratches, or marring. These scratches are caused by improper wash techniques, stiff brushes, and the drive through automatic car washes, . Paint correction generally cannot fix major scratches that are too deep into the paint or metal, that would be a job that would require to be taken to the body shop.

What Is a Clay Bar Treatment?

A clay bar is a tool that is used to remove bonded contaminants from the paint. Paint is porous and over time, brake dust, iron particles, industrial fallout, and other environmental pollutants get attached to the clear coat through the morning mist and the scorching sun. This makes the paint feel real rough like sandpaper and makes it dull. Simply washing the vehicle will not remove these and that’s why a clay bar treatment is needed. In essence the clay bar “shaves” off those bonded contaminants and removes them so that the surface feels slick to the touch and enables a wax, sealant, or coating to directly and properly bond to the clear coat.
